Trustee Recruitment

Do you have PR or Marketing skills?

Have you ever thought of volunteering as a charity Trustee?

We are looking for a new Trustee to join our Board and help BCH grow and prosper. We're especially keen to attract a Trustee with professional experience in PR or Marketing - someone willing to share their skills and help us raise our profile.

The Board of Trustees meets 10 times a year, usually on the second Wednesday of the month at 5:30pm. Meetings last between one and two hours. The role is unpaid, but we'll reimburse any out of pocket expenses. If you would like to know more, please email our Chief Executive, Rory Gillert on rgillert@creightonhouse.org, or call him on 020 7385 9689.

BCH strives to be an equal opportunities employer

Due to the nature of these posts a full Criminal Records Bureau check will be necessary.

Bishop Creighton House History

Bishop Creighton House 1908-2008, One Hundred Years of Work in the Community by John Sheppard.

Bishop Creighton House has continuously served the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham for one hundred years. Its history reflects the major changes in the development of social care, from the early twentieth century responsibilities of the parish, the introduction of the National Health Service in 1948 and the many developments in society since then. Many of the pioneering policies taken on by national and local governments originated via the Settlement Movement and BCH's reputation for innovative and new and original projects is well recorded in this History.

The book will be of great interest to those involved in the Settlement movement and its history, and in the history of social services, both nationally and in London.
