Working with the community since 1908

Homeline is a service for isolated older people in Hammersmith and Fulham  aged 60 plus, providing a telephone befriending service on a daily or weekly basis and home visits from a volunteer for a chat or to go out for a walk.

Homeline has staff who can help out with other problems such as contacting medical and social services and putting you in touch with other support organisations, including other BCH projects such as our handy man.

We run regular social events for Homeline members, including lunches, exercise and IT classes.

We support a women's club here at BCH and a weekly knitting group Busy Bees.

We urgently need more volunteers for our telephone befriending and for home visiting, hospital and care home visiting. We also need volunteers in the office and to help run our monthly lunches.

Time Commitment
Volunteers should be available for two hours each week, either morning or afternoon slots, Mon-Fri.
