Working with the community since 1908

Mentoring Plus

The project supports people with learning disabilities to realise their potential.

We can help you to develop your skills and build friendships and social networks. We offer one-to-one mentoring, social trips and training courses such as cookery, literacy and gardening. We can also help you to find training and work, both paid and voluntary.

We are currently thinking about the next phase of Mentoring Plus and in what direction we want to take it, in light of the changing needs in our community and gaps in local services, and whether to focus more on reaching into the community to foster greater inclusion between people with and without disabilities particularly in areas such as performing arts.  We are seeking funding to make this happen and if successful, we will change the name of the project to reflect this transformation.
